KENYA: Another Kenyan Woman Joins Lupita in Taking Over Hollywood, Starring Alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo Decaprio and Jammie Foxx
7 January 2016

It seems Kenyans have a knack for succeeding in Hollywood. Top on the list is Lupita Nyong’o who is the first East African to win an Oscar for her supporting role as Patsey in ’12 Years a Slave’.
But making it in Hollywood is more than just winning an Oscar (just ask Leonardo Decaprio), especially if you’re African. All it takes is working with big names in Hollywood and you’ve made it, at least by African standards.

And so actress Belinda Owino has done just that, working with one of the most decorated movie producers in Hollywood, Quentin Terantino in popular movies ‘Django Unchained’ starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo Decaprio, and also in recent film ‘The Hateful Eight’ starring Samuel L. Jackson.
Belinda also graduated recently from the University of Texas Austin in 2015 with a degree in film from the Department of radio, television, and film.
