KENYA: Beef Season Kicks Off, The King of Controversy Robert Alai, Attacks the King of Rap Khaligraph Jones
6 January 2016

It is of no doubt that rapper Khaligraph Jones is perhaps the worst person to pick a fight or beef with but controversial blogger Robert Alai also has a reputation as perhaps the worst person to pick a fight with online and the track record to prove it.
He is the badass of all bloggers who seems to always go against the feared government officials but still come out victorious (after being arrested and paying a mountain of fines of course).
So a collision between the two would probably make for some good TV. Nairobi Diaries aside this is a show I’d spend money to watch and Robert Alai already fired the first shot at not only Khaligraph but perhaps the who entertainment fraternity.
According to Alai, Wyre, Khaligraph, Sauti Sol (even) and Redsan just don’t cut it in the creative department. He says he prefers Tanzanians and Nigerians to them all.

And if that was not enough, he went in on Khaligraph saying he has a fake American accent and that the furthest place he’d been from Kayole is Malindi.
“The Wyre, Kaligraph, Sautisol, Redsan and other leading local artists depend on mitumba accent, content and delivery to ply their trades. It’s widely known that the furthest from Kayole Kaligraph has travelled is Malindi. But you will find him desperately trying to deliver rap lyrics in American accent. The musicians like Ndarling P, Kalamashaka, Emmy Kosgey, Nonini and Jua Kali who try to be original are called names and relegated to the periphery…” wrote Alai.
Well 2016 had to kick off somehow, and I can’t wait to see how Khaligraph and the rest respond to this.
