So you get a gig as the host of perhaps one of the biggest competitions in the world, Miss Universe 2015. You have one job say the names as they are written on paper along with some few words and just look good for the camera. So what’s the worst that could go wrong?
It is perhaps every award show host’s worst nightmare, getting butchered on social media because you gave the award to the wrong person.
Yes, that’s right. Comedian and TV Host Steve Harvey was the perfect man for the job when he was asked to host the Miss Universe 2015 competition that went down recently, that was until he gave the award to the wrong person.
Out of the two final contestants, Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez and Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo, one would be the runner up and one would walk away with the coveted Miss Universe crown.
The judges’ decision was that Miss Philippines was to be the winner of the coveted crown and Miss Colombia the runner up. But it seems that old age is finally catching up with Steve Harvey after he got it all wrong when he crowned the runner up and not the winner.
What’s worse is that Steve had to wait until Miss Colombia had finished her celebrations just to break her heart and even though he apologized you could still feel the pain lingering on Miss Colombia. She was Queen of the World for but a few seconds.
