HIPHOP TUESDAYS: 5 Rappers You Want on Your Side During a Physical Confrontation

Hiphop is perhaps one of the most aggressive genres of music out there shrouded with beefs and rap battles that in some cases lead to the injury or death of one or even both of the involved parties (in the case of B.I.G and 2Pac).

So to be a rapper you’re expected to have a tough unshakable persona and you can never back down from a challenge. Not to say that rappers are simply mindless brutes but think of hiphop as life, at times you just have to stand up for yourself and show it who’s boss.

Anyway, I recently found myself reflecting on some of our homegrown rappers. Which of them can hold their own when it comes to any type of confrontation and which ones do you want by your side when you find yourself in a physical confrontation? (Not that any of the guys on this least are aggressive by nature, these are just my personal opinions)

Well, here’s who I’d want on my side during a fight;

Khaligraph Jones

Well you probably already know where I’m going with this. Khaligraph Jones a.k.a Papa Jones is undoubtedly one of the biggest rappers in the game.

And I’m not just talking about his lyrical/rapping prowess. This guy has a physical presence that cannot go unnoticed in any room. Before the fame Papa Jones was even bouncing at some clubs.

Simply put, I would not want to be on the wrong side of his tempers.

Bamboo

He’s one of the legends in the rap game (Kenya) and he’s even built a name during his time abroad as well.

There’s no doubting Bamboo’s ability behind the mic for sure, plus he’s got a quiet persona unlike most celebrities. And from my experience quiet doesn’t stand for push over.

As a matter of fact quiet people are usually ticking time bombs or like an unstable nuclear reactor waiting for the smallest of triggers before going full meltdown.

Plus he also looks like he puts in extra work on the gym, so why not.

Abbas Kubaff

You can just tell by listening to his rhymes that Abbas is one crazy guy, and no one wants a fight with a guy as crazy as him.

But other than that he also looks like a loyal pal that will be with you through it all. He seems like the kind of guy who will go through the beat-down with and he’ll still be there to pick you up from the ground.

Chiwawa

‘…Unataka beef, piga left turn uone vile chupa tatu zitakuingia kwa rectum…”. I kid you not, those are actual Chiwawa lyrics and going by just this, he’s the right guy for the job because sometimes all you need to get someone off your back is some stern words.

Yvonne Darcq

Rumor has it she’s quite feisty this one and she tends to be extremely passionate about what’s hers. Or so goes the rumors.

Beauty and passion are two important traits of a true ride or die chick. Plus who would want to end up on the wrong side of those nails.
