The enchanting sounds of Afrobeats are set to soar even higher than Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, teams up with British Airways to curate an exclusive playlist for passengers. The collaboration promises to bring a melodic journey to travelers' ears, beginning November 1.

Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, made the exciting announcement, underlining DJ Cuppy's pivotal role in expanding the horizons of inflight entertainment. With a career that has taken her to more than 30 countries across the globe, DJ Cuppy is now creating a harmonious bridge between travelers and the captivating world of Afrobeats.

This partnership comes as a celebration of the increased number of flights connecting Africa and London, particularly with the launch of British Airways' new route from Accra to London Gatwick. The airline already operates daily services to London Heathrow, and this expanded network is set to further enrich travelers' options.

DJ Cuppy, armed with her extensive knowledge of the Afrobeats landscape, has carefully curated a playlist designed to whisk passengers away to distant paradises even before their flight touches down. Among the tracks on her curated playlist, listeners can look forward to savoring the rhythm of songs like 'Jollof On The Jet' and 'Feel Good,' fusing spicy African beats with hip-hop and reggae.

In a bid to enhance the onboard experience, British Airways has doubled its entertainment content, making it a compelling choice for avid music lovers. Passengers will have access to carefully curated playlists, popular podcasts from various genres, and the latest releases across the music and film spectrum.

This collaboration dovetails with British Airways' recent launch of a new route from Accra to London Gatwick, adding to the daily service to London Heathrow. Flights departing from Accra are set to land in Gatwick, providing passengers with even more flexibility in terms of flight times and airport choices. With a fourth weekly service to be introduced from April next year, British Airways is keen on ensuring that passengers have ample options when connecting Africa and London.

Additionally, the airline is introducing a new and efficient A350 fleet on the London Heathrow to Accra route, complete with the latest-generation business class seat, Club Suite.

To cater to the modern traveler's needs and entertainment preferences, British Airways offers WiFi connectivity with various packages, including options for messaging and browsing and streaming content on personal devices. The airline's commitment to enhancing passenger experiences is reflected in its progressive rollout of WiFi access across both its long and short-haul fleet. Today, a significant portion of British Airways' aircraft is connected, providing passengers with a more seamless and enjoyable journey.
