In a candid conversation, the artists disclosed that the profits from 'Kaveve Kazoze' had been flowing into the pockets of the song's beat producer, leaving Spider Clan Crew grappling with financial challenges despite the song's massive success. The crew, known for their dynamic and energetic performances, bared their struggles and shed light on the unexpected hurdles that fame brought their way.

"We didn't receive anything from it. Yes, it was monetized, but by the guy who owns the beat. He is the one who has been receiving all the money from the song," shared the Gengetone artists. The revelation was accompanied by a mix of frustration and acceptance, as they acknowledged their lack of knowledge about the monetization process when they initially released the song.

The turning point came when 'Kaveve Kazoze' hit a staggering 4 million views on YouTube, a milestone that brought about an awakening for Spider Clan Crew. Suddenly realizing the financial potential of their creation, the crew took swift action to rectify the situation.

"Now when the song hit 4 million views, that is when we got knowledge that we can change legal details and have the song's flowing income coming to us. We didn't know anything back then, but now we know we can monetize it," they explained.

Contrary to popular belief, Spider Clan Crew confessed that the fame brought by 'Kaveve Kazoze' was the sole reward they had reaped until that pivotal moment. "People have been out here thinking we are balling and we have money because of that song, but on the contrary, we got nothing from it. Yes, it gave us fame... and that is the only thing we got from it, fame. Jina ni kubwa but pesa hakuna," lamented the artists.

Undeterred by their past struggles, Spider Clan Crew revealed that they had successfully changed the legal details associated with the song, ensuring that future earnings would rightfully belong to them. Now, they are appealing to club promoters to recognize their talent and offer them opportunities to showcase their skills through performances.

"We'd like to call on club promoters to give us gigs, to give us shows. We are calling upon them because when it comes to these other shows and concerts, the promoters are crying that there is no money," pleaded Spider Clan Crew, urging the industry to acknowledge their resilience and determination to overcome financial hurdles.
