Tekno Ready to Release Sophomore Album

Award winning Nigerian Afrobeats star Tekno is set to release a new album soon. 
He posted a collage of his photos, one where he is wearing a balaclava and captioned it ‘Album done’. 

This will be his second album after his 2020 album ‘Old Romance’. He has released one single so far ‘Freetown’ as a lead up to the upcoming album. 

Tekno enjoyed fame from ‘Buga’ by Kizz Daniel in 2022 and his fans pestered him for a new album. 
Judging by ‘Old Romance’, Tekno has had a lot of success since then with his singles. The 14-track debut album is a 40-minute love story told in a different way. 

Tekno creates the reality of a coincidental encounter that leads to a romance dotted by obstacles, and finally a breakup. 
With his creativity, he brings out the aspect of the unique dynamics of African relationships that the world is not alive to. 

Moreover, he experiments with different sounds - like in ‘Sku Sku’ which combines rhythms from Afro-pop with a hippy melody. 
Fast forward to 2023, Tekno’s songwriting is on another level not to mention his delivery. He doesn’t lose the glamour that he had with ‘RaRa’ which took the African music stage by storm. 

Although he hasn’t given a definitive date for the release of this album yet, you can expect a perfect genre blend, unique sound and some of the best collaborations.
