Benga Music Star Prince Indah Releases 5th Album Dubbed 'Puonj Mag Dak'

Celebrated Benga star artist Prince Indah has marked a new milestone in his music career with the release of 'Puonj Mag Dak The Album' (also referred to as 'The formula 5' album). The 11-track music project was officially launched on Saturday, April 1st, and availed to the public the next day. The whole album has been released in MP3 format with fans expecting the singer to start producing the visuals of the songs soon.

The title of the album 'Puonj Mag Dak' which stems from the Luo community, translates to 'Living Lessons' in English. The title reflects the motivation behind the composition of the majority of songs on the album. The project also has an alternative reference of 'Formula 5' which originates from track number 10 of the album, 'Nyar Msee', that features 5 top artists. The five artists who have been featured in the song include; Tony Ndiema, Musa Jakadalla, Augusto Papa Yo, Wuod Fibi, and Prince Indah himself. The reference also comes from the fact that 'Puonj Mag Dak' is Prince Indah's fifth music album.

The dominant theme of the album is love. Apart from 'Osiepe', 'Jogi', and 'Ogada 'Memba', the remaining 8 songs dissect various aspects of love and relationship among couples. Through his powerful voice and heartwarming lyrics, Prince Indah presents songs that have been tailored to not only entertain but also educate and sensitize society on various subjects.

All the songs on the album have been produced in the Benga genre. The lyrics have majorly been written in the Luo Language as per the signature of Benga music. A good number of stakeholders have seen this as Prince Indah's strategy to cement his presence in Benga Music after exploring various types of contemporary music for the past few months.

Important to note is that Malaika Band and Studios participated heavily in the production of the whole album.
