Multi-award-winning gospel singer and songwriter Hopekid has released his debut song for the year 2023 dubbed 'Thankful' in collaboration with Guardian Angel. The 4-minute track is an expression of gratitude to God for the gift of life. The two vocalists appreciate God for the simple blessings in life that often go unnoticed.
The track starts with the chorus where Guardian Angel harmonizes Hopekid's vocals. Hopekid proceeds to take the first verse of the song with a fusion of Hip Hop and dancehall. Guardian Angel joins in the second half of the song where he picks up from Hopekid's dancehall rap before breaking into his melodious vocals.
The two music stars enjoy a unique chemistry with matching energy. Their ability to effortlessly manoeuvre through dancehall music is extremely commendable. 'Thankful' is the second music project from the duo. Their first collaboration was on a song titled 'Under Pressure' which premiered approximately 4 years ago.
'Thankful' has been produced by Mavo On The Beat. The music video, on the other hand, has been directed by K-Thomas. The project has enjoyed a warm reception on various music streaming platforms. It has already gained thousands of views and hundreds of comments on YouTube within a few hours of its publication on the platform.
