If there is something Naija artists never disappoint in is how well they come up with their songs’ remixes. 

This year, several artists went a step further to bring you the best of their blended voices in each of their hits and fans love what they have given so far. Here are 5 remixes you should check out this week. 

• Soweto Remix – Victony ft Tempoe, Rema, Don Toliver

Victony’s huge musical success in 2022 was courtesy of ‘Soweto’ which he featured Tempoe. For the remix, he signed up Mavin Records superstar Rema and American rapper Don Toliver. 

Soweto Remix is a catchy and upbeat song that celebrates the beauty and culture of Soweto, a township in South Africa that is known for its rich history and vibrant music scene. The song also pays homage to Nelson Mandela, the late anti-apartheid leader who lived in Soweto for many years. The lyrics are full of positive vibes and catchy hooks that will make you sing along.

• Who Is You Guy Remix – Spyro ft Tiwa Savage

The song's reflective pace is preserved in the remix but Tiwa Savage adds some extra flavour to it. Spyro kicks off the uptown love song "Who is Your Guy" which promises bliss on earth.

Using an urban afrobeats instrumental theme as a backdrop, his wordplay and rhythm are intensely personalised and extremely relatable.

Tiwa Savage's soothing, piercing, and golden voice arouses strong feelings. She moves as quickly as the music does, and it is lovely to hear her lay down flawless rhyming on this record.

• People Remix – Libianca ft Ayra Starr, Omah Lay

Cameroonian American singer Libianca featured Ayra Starr and Omah Lay, in the remix of her breakout song ‘People’. The song's lyrics are melancholic, and Ayra Starr as always lends her distinctive style and captivating voice to it.

Reiterating Libianca and Ayra Starr's call, Omah Lay closes it with his magnificent vocals. He beautifully concludes it by emphasising the need for ongoing follow-up with a comforting and upbeat voice.

• One Side Remix – Iyanya ft Mayorkun, Tekno

Iyanya recently released the remix of "One Side" featuring Mayorkun and Tekno. The remix was produced by Shugavybz, and gains charm with the inclusion of Mayorkun and Tekno. 

With his amazing melodic and soft voice, Mayorkun steals the song's second stanza. His vocal range is evident in this song, which has an exciting and spirited delivery.
