Davido Announces Release Date for New Album 'Timeless'

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido is set to release a new album titled ‘Timeless’ on March 31. 

He says that a time has come for him to get back to music actively after a long while. ‘Timeless’ encapsulates his life memories and he feels that the time has come for him to get new memories.

“Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new. My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st,” he wrote on Instagram.

For the first time in many months, Davido referenced the death of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi who drowned to death in 2022. His death kept the ‘Fall’ hitmaker out of public sight until December 2022 when he appeared in Qatar for a performance at the FIFA 2022 World Cup. 

With ‘Timeless’ on the way, Davido says it’s time for new music after grieving. “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak and A time for Silence. Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all.”

‘Timeless’ marks his fourth album after ‘A Better Time’ which he released in 2020.
