Hip Hop artist Julius Owino, artistically known as Juliani, ranks among the most celebrated musicians in Kenya. His contribution to the growth and development of the country's music industry is landmarking. Juliani is credited for being one of the key pioneers of musical activism. He describes himself as a passionate artist whose objective is to transform people and communities through the power of art.

Juliani's music career has been punctuated with record-breaking hit songs and albums. One of his most successful albums was 'Masterpiece' which dominated the airwaves and music charts for a long time. The project which houses 12 songs showcases Juliani's diversity and artistry at its best.

Renowned music producers Eric Musyoka, DJ Octave, and Dushman Koko were behind the production of the album. Musyoka who enjoys a long-term professional relationship with Juliani worked on the majority of the songs. The two enjoy a fluid chemistry that can almost be sensed in their songs.
