Kenyan music star Jeremy Maina, popularly known as Lil Maina, is mourning the death of his grandfather. The youngster through a statement that he shared on social media notified his fans of the sad news. He further expressed gratitude to his late grandfather for raising him well and making him the man that he is today.

"Idk what to say, babu, I will always have you in my heart. It is not the same without you, it will never be. The best grandfather to me and to everyone. I will miss you so much," Lil Maina stated.

"Thank you for making me who I am today. Thank you for the support, and thank you for raising me. I love you, babu. Till we meet again. I never wanted to post anything about this, but I thought it would be good for you guys to know," he added.

Lil Maina featured his late grandfather in the majority of his social media skits. The chemistry and love between the two were enviable. The most viral moment of the two was when Lil Maina featured his grandfather in the 'Kishash' music video. The song which thrust the singer into stardom has accrued over 10 million views on YouTube.
