Wizkid Announces Joint Tour with Davido

The year 2023 is going to be special for Nigerian music as Afrobeats crooner Wizkid announced a joint tour with Davido. 

Wizkid dropped the news on his Instagram page. He said that after his ‘More Love Less Ego (MLLE) tour, he would embark on a joint tour with Davido. “After my ‘MLLE (More Love, Less Ego)’ tour!! Davido and I going on tour! Save your coins! I no wan hear pim,” he wrote. 

Wizkid had to postpone the release of ‘More Love Less Ego’ album – his fifth studio album – following the passing of Davido’s three-year-old son Ifeanyi. He reportedly drowned in their house’s pool and the news came out just when Wizkid was scheduled to release the album. He pushed by a few weeks. Davido promised his fans a new album in 2023. He was been pretty silent in 2022 and his fans can’t wait for the joint performance which will likely precede the release of his new album. 

Since the tour's announcement, fans have been ecstatic, with many looking forward to seeing the two musical greats play together. At Wizkid's 2017 December event, he invited Davido out as a special guest to play "FIA," and the two artists famously shared the stage.
