Tems' Higher Earns RIAA Gold Plaque

Nigerian superstar songstress Tems will soon be awarded another RIAA plaque for her song "Higher." "Higher" has sold over 500,000 copies in the US, according to chart news website Chart Data, making it eligible for an RIAA Gold plaque.

In 2020, she released 'Higher' as a single off her debut EP, 'For Broken Ears. With "Higher," the EP is scoring its second RIAA gold record after the gold certification of "Free Mind" in 2022.

The Nigerian songstress has maintained international patronage ever since she rose to stardom in 2020 as a result of her feature on Wizkid's "Essence." She has received platinum certifications for "Essence" and "Wait For U," as well as solo gold awards for the songs "Free Mind" and "Higher," making her one of the most RIAA-certified Nigerian artists.

Given the huge success ‘Higher’ has now garnered over two years after its release, it sought of gives Tems a new push for the year.
