Harambee Stars' striker Henry Atola has moved from the Swedish top-tier league team AIK Fotboll to the second-tier team Noorby IF on loan. AIK’s CEO Manuel Lindberg while confirming the transfer on Monday, January 16, 2023, explained that the objective of the transfer was to give Henry Atola more time on the pitch.

The move is further aimed at building the former Tusker FC player into a star at the Swedish top-tier league Allsvenskan. Mr. Lindberg revealed that the transfer followed wide consultations with Norrby IF who believe can offer the optimum environment for Atola's career to thrive.

“We have had a good dialogue with Norrby IF and it is an environment where we believe that the player can continue to develop, play several matches and take the final steps needed to become a starting player also in the Allsvenskan,” A statement released by AIK Fotboll club read.

The 21-year-old Kenyan footballer transferred from Tusker FC to AIK Fotboll on September 3, 2021, where he signed a five-year contract. Atola together with his countrymates, Erick Marcelo Otieno and Collins Shichenje, made a remarkable contribution to the success of AIK Fotboll in the Swedish top-tier league.
