Multi-award-winning Kenyan boyband Sauti Sol has announced an upcoming album scheduled for release this year. The project will be the sixth music album from the four-man band which has been together for 17 years. The past two years have seen members of the band concentrate on releasing solo music projects. They produced only one song (Lil Mama) as a band in the above-stated period.

Sauti Sol released their debut album dubbed 'Mwanzo' in 2009. Over the years they cemented their presence in the Kenyan music industry with top-ranking albums including; 'Sol Filosofia', 'African Sauce', 'Live And Die In Africa', and 'Midnight Train'.

The band has withheld details of the album and it remains unknown how many tracks will be on it or which artists have been featured in its production.

One member of the band, Savara, has hinted at a new music project featuring fast-rising Kenyan music star Maandy. The songster shared behind the scene footage of a music video shoot. It remains unclear whether the song is part of the album or if it is a separate project.

Earlier on, Mdundo highlighted Sauti Sol as one of the top five artists to watch out for in 2023. It appears that the band is leaving up to the expectations of music lovers.
