35-Year-Old Argentine football star Lionel Messi will become a free agent when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June. The striker who steered his country to win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is yet to issue an official statement on the course that his football career will take afterwards.

PSG coach Christophe Galtier has, however, confirmed that the club has entered into contract extension talks with the former Barcelona forward. Galtier insisted that the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is happy in Paris and will less likely depart.

“There are discussions, the management of the club has exchanged with Leo on the subject of an extension – I don’t know at what stage it is at. Leo seems to me happy to be in Paris,” Cristophe Galtier stated.

The majority of football experts have predicted that Lionel Messi will extend his contract. He has recorded an impressive performance in League 1 and might want to strengthen his reputation at the club before exploring other ventures. The 35-year-old joined PSG in a free transfer from Barcelona in the summer of 2021.

Football fans will be eagerly waiting for the official confirmation of Messi's future at PSG. This comes shortly after his long-term rival Cristiano Ronaldo made a surprising transfer to the Saudi Arabian league after exiting Manchester United.
