Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif and Afrobeats Queen Gyakie are among a host of African artists scheduled to perform at Afro Nation US in May 2023. The two-day musical event will be held in Miami, Florida.

The Ghanaian duo will join Nigerian artists Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asake, BNXN, Rema and CKay who will also be at the festival. Other African artists scheduled to also perform at the festival include Major League Djz, Focalistic, Musa Keys, Virgo Deep and Uncle Waffles from South Africa. The festival traces its roots to Portugal.

Every year in Portugal, Afro Nation presents a lineup of acts that are both African and African-inspired. Afrobeats, dancehall, reggaeton, and many other musical genres are represented during the festival by a wide variety of performers performing live.

The purpose of the event, which was held for the first time in 2019, is to highlight the variety and vitality of modern African music and culture. Afro Nation also wants to give up-and-coming African musicians a stage where they can play and engage with audiences.

It takes place in several nations, such as Ghana, which hosted its chapter in December 2022. The performers on the lineup of Afro Nation, who cover a wide spectrum of African and African-inspired musical genres, are noted for their vivacity and diversity.
