Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League made a successful return on Wednesday after the festive season break. Nine heated matches ushered in the new year with some of the teams registering victories as others walked off the pitch disappointed.

The battle for the ultimate premier league title continues on Sunday when nine matches are scheduled to be played. Gor Mahia will be seeking redemption after suffering its first loss of the season following a 1 - 0 defeat to KCB. KCB, on the other hand, will have to beat Talanta FC to prove that its Wednesday victory against K'Ogalo was not by sheer luck. A victory for the Bankers will further give them a chance to advance to the third place on the table.

First-placed Tusker FC will fight to strengthen its lead on the FKF Premiere league table as it faces Bandari FC who will be hunting their first victory for the season.

Nzoia Sugar will seek to continue its unbeaten run while hoping to climb up to the first position as it faces third-placed Kakamega Homeboyz.

Wazito FC will have a difficult assignment of stopping Ulinzi stars' unbeaten run for the season. Ulinzi Stars, on the other hand, will be fighting mercilessly for three points to climb up from the 5th position.
