Davido to Perform in Qatar at the FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony

The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar closing ceremony is expected to feature a performance by Nigerian superstar Davido.

December 18, 2022, will see the curtains fall on the historic World Cup which was the first to be held in an Arab country. Reports now indicate that Davido will perform the song "Hayya Hayya (Happy Together)" with Trinidadian singer Cardona and Qatari singer Aisha.

This will be his first major public appearance since the death of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi who drowned to death in their home. His fans recently held a concert as a show of love and support as he battles grief. With his appearance at the World Cup closing ceremony, he is on his way to recovery.

Davido's appearance is not too much of a surprise as he is featured in one of the official soundtracks for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The DMW boss is one of Africa's most respected artists, he has rocked different stages all over the world and this will go down as one of his biggest stages yet.
