Group A of the Qatar 2022 World Cup pits host nation Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands together.

On paper, the Netherlands have the strongest team in the match with stars like Virgil Van Dijk, Frenkie De Jong and Memphis Depay among the many fine talents in their ranks.

Characteristically, Ecuador is the underdogs of the group but watch out for them as they combine South American squad talent, grit, and speedy and technical players.

Sadio Mane is the biggest name out of the Senegalese team full of other stars like Kalidou Koulibaly, Edourd Mendy amongst others. They are the current African champions and are poised to make a mark in the tournament.

In terms of Qatar, not much is particularly expected of them in the group as it is their first world cup appearance.

Senegal and Netherlands being the strongest sides on paper are the favourites to qualify out of the group.
