Boy Alone’ the debut studio album by Omah Lay is nothing short of musical magnificence; the 14-track stellar album.

Justin Bieber and Tay Iwar are two big international artists appearing on this album. He served his fans three sizzling hits, Woman, Attention and Understand of the album dogged by delays.

Understandably, Omah Lay was fighting what he called ‘personal demons’ for the last year, and it was part of the album's release delay.

“I am thankful for finding my way back to music after a whole year dealing with personal demons,” he said in hand-written note posted on his Instagram page.

Overall, this is an impressive debut release. Omah Lay should relax, as he appears to have borne the pressure with ‘Boy Alone’ which is a blend of emotions and life experiences.

When Omah Lay rose to prominence, the BPM of Nigerian mainstream music slowed. Sultry vocals with a beautiful pen, picture-like, provocative storytelling and casual thoughts on love and sex were only some of the Port Harcourt native's many talents.

He could fluently communicate in English, pidgin, and street slang thereby enchanting his fans even more. During his first two years as a Nigerian celebrity and the associated demands, he experiments with often disastrous coping techniques but he still made it.

You can’t help but notice Omah Lay's great songwriting skills, which are the foundation of this album's genius. Each of the 14 tracks is beautifully crafted and the depth of emotions is outstanding.
