Manchester United's new signing Tyrell Malacia is a Dutch fullback who lined up on the left-hand side of Feyenoord's 4-2-3-1 system.

Born on 17 August 1999, Malacia has bags of skills in defence and in attack as he has a penchant for marauding up and down the left flank.

Malacia has represented the Netherlands at every youth level, from the Under 16s to the Under 23 team, and has also made five senior appearances for the senior team. He was handed his Netherlands debut in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Montenegro last September.

He later joined Feyenoord at the age of nine and blossomed into a fan favourite, with some calling him "the pitbull" due to his tenacious displays.

Feyenoord had the second-best defensive record in the Eredivisie last season and Malacia is a large part of the reason, despite his tender years.

The fullback scored a goal and laid five assists in all competitions for Feyenoord and also played a key role in the Dutch side reaching the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League which they lost to Roma.
