CKay, Tems, Tay Iwar Bag SAMAs 2022 Nomination

The Nigerian trio of CKay, Tems and Tay Iwar has scored a nomination in this year’s South African Music Awards, SAMA, the 28th edition of the awards. 

CKay earned a nomination with his February 2021 EP, Boyfriend while Tems was nominated for her September 2021 album, If Orange Was a Place. Talented singer and songwriter, Tay Iwar also joins the list with his April 2021 extended playlist Love & Isolation. 

All nominated in the category “Rest of Africa Award”, CKay, Tems and Tay Iwar will have to slug it out with Zimbabwean musician, Edgar Muzah and Lesotho singer and songwriter, Malome Vector. 

The awards ceremony will take place on the 31st of July 2022.
