Kenyan artists continue to fly high with their recently released songs which have dominated the trending charts. Whereas there are those who have topped the trending charts for weeks, there are also others who just entered the charts with new songs. Here are the top five top trending songs in Kenya;
Nairobi City (Kanairo ) - Samidoh
For the second week now, Kenyan vernacular singer Samidoh continues to dominate the trending charts with his latest single 'Nairobi City'. The song has accumulated close to a million views on YouTube within the stated period. Despite the fact that the song has been sung in the 'Gikuyu' ethnic language, it has won over the hearts of many within and beyond the country, making it take the top spot on the trending songs. The song narrates the typical life in Nairobi City. From the good to the bad side, Samidoh through his melodious voice sings it all.
Simuachi - Jux
Tanzanian music icon Juma Jux has cemented his fan base in Kenya with his newest song dubbed 'Simuachi'. The song which features popular Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe as the video vixen has taken the second spot on the trending list. The song gained thousands of views within hours of its publication on YouTube.
The theme of the song is love. Jux through the song pours his out to Huddah Monroe and sings of how much he is in love with her. The two have also become subjects of discussion on the internet following the emergence of claims that they might be dating.
Dimension - Fully Focus ft Bien
Fully Focus together with Sauti Sol's Bien continue to decorate trending charts with their collaboration dubbed 'Dimension'. The song which bears slow smooth vibes is perfect for dedication to someone that you are deeply in love with. The two artists through creative lyrics and vocal prowess sing of how love has taken them to another dimension.
The song has been warmly received by fans and has so far gained thousands of views and streams on the internet.
Nawacha Pombe - Ssaru ft Kushman & Benzema
Gengetone star and rap queen Ssaru continues to make headlines with 'Nawacha Pombe' remix featuring Kushman and Benzema. The song sheds light on the negative effects of being addicted to alcohol.
