The month of April started on a high note in the Kenyan music industry as it was marked with the release of top songs. Major music projects from established artists decorated the industry during that period. The onset of the month was dominated by hits from the creme de la creme in the entertainment industry. From celebrated songstress Sanaipei Tande to popular Gengetone group Matata, the releases were nothing short of spectacular. Here are the top music projects that welcomed the month of April;

Furaha Remix - Iyanii Ft Arrow Bwoy, Nadia Mukami, Kristoff, Dogo Janja, and X-ray

Fast-rising star Iyanii cemented his rise to stardom with 'Furaha Remix' which featured top established artists. The artists featured in the song were; Arrow Bwoy, Nadia Mukami, Kristoff, Dogo Janja, and X-ray. 'Furaha' is a song that addresses the importance of celebrating and being happy with friends and family members. Its original version was released in December 2021, and approximately four months later it has accrued more than a million views on YouTube. Iyanii shot into fame after his song 'Pombe' went viral across the country. He has also released other songs such as; 'Valentines Anthem', 'Memories' and 'Mapenzi Gani Haya'.

Kiwango - Sanaipei Tande ft Khaligraph Jones

Celebrated musician Sanaipei Tande appears to have adopted a back-to-back formula of releasing songs. Shortly after releasing the video for 'Jali' in collaboration with Nyashinski, she went ahead to release the video for her song 'Kiwango' in which she featured Khaligraph Jones. The audio of the song was produced by celebrated music producer Ihaji. The video on the other hand was directed by Mhando Brian. The fusion of Sanaipei's vocals and Khaligraph's fast rapping style resulted in the production of a masterpiece. Both 'Jali' and 'Kiwango' are tracks from Sanaipei Tande's EP dubbed 'Nabo' which was released last year. Other songs on the EP include; 'Nabo', 'Chukua', 'Nakuthamini', and 'Yuko Na Wewe'. She is expected to continue releasing more videos off the EP.

Elohim - Guardian Angel

Celebrated gospel musician Guardian Angel released the official video for his single dubbed 'Elohim'. The dance video of the song alongside the audio was released in late February. Approximately a month later, Guardian Angel released the official video for 'Elohim'. The reception of the song which was produced by Vicky Pon Dis has been warm. The song gained thousands of views within a short period of publication on YouTube. The release of the song came approximately two weeks after Guardian Angel gifted his fans with a song titled 'Jirani Yangu'. 'Jirani Yangu' preached peace and tolerance as Kenyans approach the August general election. Apart from 'Elohim' and 'Jirani Yangu', this year Guardian Angel also released 'Sweety Sweety' remix song.

Wababa - Matata

Popular Gengetone group Matata has released its first song this year dubbed 'Wababa'. Known for their creativity in video production and their top-notch dance skills, Matata did not disappoint on this one. 'Wababa' is a unique club banger that one cannot resist dancing to. The video is also extremely creative and full of surprising moments. Matata is known for their other hit songs including; 'Kata', 'Mare Mare' ft. Lamaz Span K.o.b, 'Pombe Na Kizungu' Mingi Ft Bensoul & Nvirii The Storyteller, 'Achuu' Ft. Stl Stella Mwangi and 'Chini Chini' Ft. Mejja among others.

Mwanangu - Boutross ft Munyax

Popular Kenyan rapper 'Boutross' has released a new song dubbed 'Mwanangu' featuring Munyax. The song is out only in audio form. The song was produced by Kaxi. 'Mwanangu' is housed in Boutross' EP dubbed 'Kabla Mtindo'.
