EXCLUSIVE: Webi caught on tape revealing why he won Airtel Trace Music Stars contest!

The HL is an elaborate prank, I got you! Boom!

There are some fairly-documented facts we’ve already published about Webi - most notably music is his full time hustle.

But beyond recording and putting out flawless hits, the Airtel Trace Music Star representing Kenya in the Pan African competition has some of the most-fun facts I've encountered.

Here's five you probably didn't know...

5. His favorite instrument is a guitar - the very first music instrument he ever played. If today his apartment was burning down, the only thing he'd go back for is the guitar (considering his family is already at fire assembly point).

4. Started music at the age of 10. Being raised in a musical family, Webi used to perform alongside his mum; a gifted singer and guitarist who loved playing everyday at home or sometimes during Sunday services at a girl school in Kwale where she was a principal back then.

3. Webi has been married for 4 years and has one kid.

2. Despite the variations in sound and style, he’d love to work with Sautisol, Elani, Kambua and Kanji Mbugua.

1. First job: The Airtel Trace Music star started as a school-based apprentice; elementary music teacher. Specifically working with kids between the ages of 4 and 8 yrs which he did for 6 years.
