Raphinha has emerged as one of the shining stars of Leeds United’s topsy-turvy Premier League campaign, so it comes on as little surprise that a number of top clubs have shown an interest in signing the Brazilian.

Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with the player in recent months, although the Blues have put plans on hold due to their current circumstance after the British government brought down the hammer on Roman Abramovich.

Now, Barcelona has also shown its interest in signing the Brazilian winger, according to social media and news reports.

Raphinha, after his heroics in Leeds United’s win at the weekend, has now featured in 27 Premier League games this season, scoring nine goals in the process.

He has also registered three assists in the Premier League this term.

The 25-year-old Brazil international has two years left on his deal at Elland Road, but his performances in the colours of the Lily Whites have seen him be linked with a move away from the former English champions.

According to respected Spanish football expert, Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona is now interested in signing the Premier League star, and Raphinha's agent has even begun communicating with the La Liga club about a potential transfer.

There have been no talks between the two teams though, as any fee for the winger will depend upon the status of Leeds United, and whether or not they remain in the Premier League.

Leeds United currently occupy the 16th spot in the Premier League standings, four points away from the relegation zone.

Raphinha’s form this season has seen him be named in Tite's 25-man Brazil squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia.

Since making his international debut in October last year, Raphinha has starred for the Selecao, scoring three goals and providing two assists in seven appearances.
