Ghana’s urban gospel icon Scott Evans is already having an amazing year if his recent 3 Music Awards “Breakthrough Artiste of the Year” nomination is anything to go by.

The ‘Ma Pe K3’ hitmaker landed the nomination in the award's 5th edition slated for March 2022. Recognition and awards will be given to new artists who have gone above and beyond in their work according to the note for the Breakthrough Artist of the Year category.

His hit single Ma Pe K3 was received gracefully when he released it in October 2021 so much that it traversed beyond Ghanaian borders. ‘Ma Pe K3’ is still receiving national TV and radio airplay across Ghana and doing good numbers across platforms. The record has also found a soft spot in clubs where revellers hum and dance to it with a lot of conviction.

Evans was nominated alongside other talented artists including Nanky, Malcolm Nuna, and Mona 4Reall. The four will battle it out for the final award which will be presented next month.
