Zambian dancehall star TBwoy has spoken of undue condemnation artists are thrust into when they respond to critics. He says it is unforgiving to assume that artists have no right to hit back at those who speak ill of them.

TBwoy maintains that the society expects them to stay silent all through but they forget that every artist is first a human being before being a role model.

“When you people say a lot of hurtful stuff to a musician you always expect them to stay silent all on the name of role models never respond, do you think musicians never feel bad?

“Before being a musician, I am human too and depending on my mood I might clap back when you say b…….,” he says.

He says that unlike others, he does music out of passion more than the business sense side of it. The ‘Beautiful’ hit maker confessed there are days he made losses from his music but he still does it anyway because that is a life passion.

Thus, going back to trolls who called him out over his thoughts on a cover done on ‘Miss You’, he said that his human kind comes in first.

“Before you say nonsense you need to know that am human and sometimes I might be having a bad day, Gabbage IN Gabbage OUT I am a father just like your father am an uncle just like your uncle and a brother like your brother too, so ukanitunfya uzanvela ve ufuna pa last,” he said.

The singer watered down claims that he does not need support by other artists. His advice was that if one dislikes his music, they are free not to listen to it.
