Why Rapper Jae Cash did not Join Kalandanya Music Promotions

Many have been wondering what happened to rapper Jae Cash and his signing by Kalandanya Music Promotions (KMP). This follows an announcement by the label in 2021 that it was about to sign Jae Cash.

Fast forward to 2022, Jae Cash declared that he was no longer associated with the label, leaving Zambian music fans perplexed as to what was actually going on at KMP with all of their signing announcements.

To put the matter to rest regarding the Jae Cash deal and the integrity of the record label, KMP General Manager, Sash Mubanga Makumba, confirmed on Diamond TV's ‘On the Table’ with Chimweka that the two parties were unable to come to an amicable agreement.

As a result, Jae Cash never made it to the label. In addition, the KMP leader stated that if given the opportunity, he would still sign Jae Cash since he admires the Apa iliso Entertainment CEO.

The rapper rose to fame in his home country of Zambia as a result of songs like "Akamutima," "Tyoka," and "WockStarr." Giovanni, his debut studio album, was released in 2018. In the last few months, the rapper has worked with a host of artists among them KB Killa Beats, Big Bizzy, Magigi among others.
