Sir Trill Lauds A-Reece for Separating Private Life from Music

Privacy in most cases is the cost of being a celebrity and South African artist A-Reece has been hailed by Amapiano star Sir Trill for keeping his life private. Sir Trill in a Twitter post said that A-Reece moves like ‘a ghost’ - figurative for his privacy.

A Reece recently told TRACE TV that he prefers to retain an introspective personality in the industry.

“I'm pretty mellow, I like to keep to myself. I'm mostly comfortable around people I know,” he stated.

A-Reece was recently nominated for the Global Music Awards Africa (GMA) together with rapper Emtee. However DJ Cosmo feels A-Reece has failed to capitalize on his huge following.

He told POPcast that A-Reece should capitalise on his cult following and reputation as one of the most valued jewels in South Africa's hip-hop scene.

Last year, it was the battle of titans in the South African Hip Hop Awards with fire kindling in Artist of The Year category pitting A-Reece with Cassper Nyovest among other top artists.

A-Reece’s vibrant fan base otherwise known as ‘slimes’ launched a campaign online urging fans to vote for their the hip hop star. In a barrage of tweets, the battalion said that while critics spoke ill of A-Reece, they were busy voting for him.

Interestingly, the award finally went to Cassper despite the fact that he has shifted base to Amapiano.
