After more than three years since rapper Alpha Romeo left K-Army for XYZ Entertainment, the label’s founder KB Killa Beats has spoken. Contrary to what many people describe as a nasty fall out between Romeo and K-Army; KB says this was not the case.

He explained that Romeo talked to him on his intention to leave K-Army for XYZ. “He actually called me. What people don’t understand is that we have these conversations,” KB told The Zed Podcast.

“He talked to me about it. I told him you know what, you have to follow what your heart tells you. If that’s what you wanna do, do what you have to do,” he added.

According to KB, it happens that artists may feel undervalued in some labels because they do not get the attention they are looking for. Romeo was K-Army’s biggest signing but even KB agrees that every artist is at liberty to try something new at a different place.

“I can understand where he is coming from. There is a time he would have probably gotten little frustrated because I had some other artists I would pay attention to and he’d feel like you know what, I’m not getting the attention that I used to get,” states KB.

The fact that he was getting ready to move to Nexus also made it hard for Romeo to get his attention.
