Major League DJz, Focalistic & DJ Maphorisa Set to Grace Portugal's Afro-Nation Festival

When Major League DJs declared, "Amapiano to the world," they were plainly serious about their intentions. Now, some of South Africa's greatest acts have been added to the lineup for Afro Nation 2022, one of the world's largest afrobeats events, which will take place in Portugal in 2022.

The worldwide afro beats music festival is set to take place in Portugal at the beginning of July and is a must-attend event. The first Amapiano festival was held in Ghana in December, and now a large number of Amapiano performers are en route to Portugal for another festival.

Major League DJz are among the local talent who will light up the Afro Nation stage with their own style. The duo has been travelling the world for the past year, crossing borders between Africa and other regions of the world to spread their contagious music.

Among the other Amapiano heavyweights that will be participating in the festival include; Focalistic, Kabza de Small, DJ Maphorisa, and DBN Gogo. Young Stunna, the singer of the hit song ‘Adiwele’, will also be playing at the festival.

Uncle Waffles, the viral sensation DJ who took the song ‘Adiwele’ to new heights, will also be spinning the decks at the Afro Nation festival. Since bursting onto the deejaying scene, Uncle Waffles has established himself as a sought-after entertainer, doing back-to-back shows across the country.

Tems, Rema, Ruger, Patoranking, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Naira Marley will all perform at the festival, as well as other afrobeats superstars. Afro Nation Puerto Rico 2022 boasts a star-studded line-up that includes international sensation Chris Brown, among other notable names.
