After suffering throat difficulties, Lady Zamar, (real name Yamikani Janet Banda) underwent surgery in November 2021. Lwazi Zondo, a Universal Music official in South Africa, told City Press that the songstress was back in the game recording in the studio.

“She is always in studio recording new music. She is also taking a break from the media for now. So, she is not comfortable speaking [about it],” Zondo said.

After her voice began to squeak and she couldn't talk correctly, sources close to the actress reported that she was experiencing throat problems. One of her close friends said that in 2020, Lady Zamar started having troubles with her voice. She initially mistook it for a flu, but when her voice didn't return she realized she had a far more serious issue on her hands and sought medical intervention.

It's safe to assume that Lady Zamar will be putting out new music in the coming year. After a two-year hiatus from the music industry, this record might be her big comeback.
