DJ Maphorisa Goes Viral With #TriggerDanceChallenge [Video]

South African musician DJ Maphorisa has taken over social media by storm thanks to #TriggerDanceChallenge.

People from all walks of life are participating in a viral dancing challenge inspired by DJ Karri's popular song ‘Trigger’.

This time, DJ Maphorisa decided to get in on the action. And, of course, he handled it flawlessly just like he does it when he is behind the decks.

King Ivyic, the digital content creator behind the video, was ecstatic when it became a viral dance challenge hit. He posted on his Instagram page: “Finally I created a trending dance move.”

Although DJ Maphorisa has always had fans talking about him throughout, he did exceptionally well with ‘Izolo’ in August last year. The local record producer released Izolo’s video featuring Tyler ICU featuring Madumane, Mpura, Daliwonga and Visca.

In the second verse of the song, Maphorisa drops lyrics on how grand life has been for him. He speaks confidently of the days he’s purchased expensive drinks, and seen the best of life. He has been to posh places with towering buildings and huge houses.

The ‘Soweto Baby’ hit maker says this is the power of talent in music because, despite coming from the ghetto, he has seen the best the world has to offer. He prides in going international against all odds.
