Why Cassper Nyovest Wishes He Was a Nigerian Artist

With all the success Cassper Nyovest has to his name, he wishes he was a Nigerian artist more than he is a South African artist.
Cassper says he envies how Nigerians support their artists’ which is not reminiscent back in South Africa.

In a tweet, Cassper remarks that he admires how Nigerian artists have it easy when it comes to support.
“Won’t even lie. Wish I was from Nigeria too. The love they have for their own artists, the way they celebrate their culture,” he says.
He adds that Nigerian music accounts for 90% of local content, unlike in Mzansi.
“90% local content on radio and TV, the way they celebrate music no matter where they are in the world. The unity within the industry is a dream!” Cassper notes.

The ‘Siyanthandana’ hit maker is among the biggest artists from the south. He started off as hip hop star and established a lustrous career with the genre but made a big switch in 2021 to Amapiano.
His second Amapiano song ‘Summer Love’ featuring RAYE debuted in December. The multi-genre artist dropped the new jam to celebrate his birthday on December 16.
