Burna Boy joined the long list of celebrities around the world in mourning the death of American designer, Virgil Abloh, 41, who died after a 2 year battle with cancer.

Sharing his grief via a story posted on his Instagram page, Burna Boy revealed that Virgil was supposed to play a role on his next album. He had spent hours talking to him and he was supposed to be the creative director for Burna Boy’s next album. “He seemed so full of life. He was supposed to be the creative director of my next album. I don’t even know where to start now. RIP Legend”, Burna Boy wrote.

The death of Virgil came as a shock as the designer never made his condition public. He privately battled a rare, aggressive form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma.
