Dr Namadingo Escapes Unhurt after Malawi Accident

Elation Entertainment has confirmed that Malawian-Zambian singer Dr Namadingo was involved in and accident in Malawi over the weekend.

The label’s statement came after news on social media that the accident was grisly. However, Namadingo escaped unscathed and is expected to return to Zambia.

“There is news circulating on social media that Dr. Namadingo was involved in a road traffic accident in Malawi over the weekend. On behalf of management, we confirm the said news to the extent that the accident did happen, but that fortunately, Namadingo did not sustain any injuries, and that he is enjoying good health,” part of the statement read.

Elation also confirmed that a planned concert in Lusaka on November 27 will continue as earlier scheduled.

Namadingo will also continue with his charity works in different communities ahead of the concert towards the end of the month.

Namadingo has collaborated with various Zambian artists among them Yo Maps and Roberto. Namadingo told Hellen Zuu Phiri in the past that he hopes to double his fan base by having fans back in Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Namadingo also cleared the air on past sentiments that Malawians do not appreciate him like Zambians do which is why he chose Zambia. He said that this is not the case and what he meant was that people back home were jealous of him which happened because they appreciate his talent.

“You don’t get to the jealousy point before you appreciate. It means you appreciate but you don’t like it…I have been here (Zambia) more than I have been in Malawi,” he said.
