Azawi Explains How she’s Managed to Rapidly Rise in the Ugandan Music Scene

Fast-rising Ugandan artist Azawi has credited her hard work and ability to dream big as the reason behind her massive success in the music industry.

Azawi released her first single in 2020 and less than a year later, big things are already happening for her. The Swangz Avenue signee recently released her debut album 'African Music' which was featured on New York’s Times Square Billboard.

From the album topping charts across the globe, scooping an influencer’s deal with Guinness to being selected among the four African artists set to represent Africa at the YouTube Black Voices Class of 2022, we must say Azawi has made it to the top.

"I've always been a big dreamer. Sometimes it scares the people around me who think I over exaggerate it. I do this because I believe anything can happen. It doesn't matter where you come from, who you are but anything amazing can happen and you make it. I don't look at limitations or boundaries, I just go for it with all that I have," she said,

Azawi revealed that she is currently living her dream life and is at a place where she’s always wanted to be.

"I'm doing something that I really love to do, which is music. At this point it's not even a job but I'm having a good time and entertaining others while at it. I'm living my happy life and it feels so special. I would love that for all artists," Azawi said.
