DJ Mzengaman Lauds Rapper Kobby, Terms Him Zambia’s Next International Artist

DJ Mzengaman has weighed in on the debate on which Zambian artist is nearing the international stage, noting that according to him, rapper Koby is the artist to watch.

He deduces his findings from the rapper’s music style and the fact that he has seen him evolve in the last decade that they have been friends.

“Pay close attention to Koby's music and style. I believe without a doubt that this guy right here is an "International Quality Material" in all angles. I have known him for almost a decade now. We first met when he came to XYZ at the time in 2013 or so and I have seen him evolve to who he is now. (A Master Of His Craft),” he wrote on Facebook.

Besides being an artist, Koby doubles up as a music producer. He mixed and mastered all 15 songs in Brawen’s new EP Fast Life Experience (FLEX).

“Proud to see my lil bro Brawen "Ama Big Boy" dropping his first Official Single off his Fast Life Experience (FLEX) EP. Had the pleasure of mixing his whole project. This is only the beginning,” KOBY wrote.

Fans also agreed that KOBY who left XYZ Entertainment for New Age Entertainment is greatly talented.

Ba Es said: “This man is very creative and talented that he can even put up competition with other international artists we see.”

Bentry NY had an interesting perspective shared by many other fans. “It is so sad that he is One of the best in the country but still underrated, so sad to learn that most of our musicians are making songs for the clubs, If it ain't playing in the club then it's not a hit. People are following the beats lately instead for the content of the song,” Bentry’s post read in part.
