Ugandan Afro Soul artist Maurice Kirya has teamed up with K!mera for a remix of his song 'Echoes' off his album 'Beyond Myself'.
‘Echoes Remix' is about change in the African continent. Maurice and K!mera use simple and precise lyrics to remind Africans of who they really are.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the song, Maurice Kirya noted that he wrote the original version because he had a message to deliver, but later found K!mera who had a different perspective and meaning for the song.
"When I wrote Echoes, I felt I had said what I needed to say in a nutshell, about a special yet gloomy African reality, then comes K!mera with another deep approach to the message, clearly and powerfully delivered. I'm so glad to have him on the remix," Maurice Kirya said.

Upon the release of the song, K!mera noted that he had listened to Maurice Kirya's 'Beyond Myself' album and loved it.
He further noted that 'Echoes' stood out for him, adding that he related with the song and decided to reach Kirya with an idea for the remix.
"I felt it was a deeper layer to his own artistry as a singer, songwriter, musician and producer but even more as just another human being sharing his personal experiences and reflections to the world around him," K!mera said.
