In a tweet, the 'AG Baby' hitmaker noted that he's happy with his musical transformation and wondered how saddening it would have been if he gave up.

"My life is about to take a whole new form and I can’t help but wonder how saddening it’d have been if I gave up," read part of a post on Adekunle Gold share on his Twitter handle.

"Imagine if I listened to nay sayers and lost my focus. if I stopped believing in myself? If I stopped working so hard to find the best version of myself?" he added.

Adekunle Gold gained widespread attention after releasing the 2015 hit single 'Sade', a cover of One Direction’s 'Story of My Life'.

In the same year, he signed a record deal with YBNL Nation and released his debut studio album 'Gold' which peaked at number 7 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

Adekunle Gold was expected to release a fourth studio album this 2021 to follow up on the 2020-released 'Afropop Vol 1' album but seems fans will have to wait a little longer for that.

He is yet to make an announcement in regards to that but he already has three hit singles this year, 'It Is What It Is', 'Sinner' and the most recent one, 'High' featuring Davido.
