A group of top Zambian artists signed under Kalandanya Music Promotions (KMP) have released a patriotic song dubbed ‘One Zambia One Nation’.

The song by top stars including; Mampi, Judy Yo, Macky 2, Chef 187, Slap Dee, Pilato among others is championing for unity. The artists note that for the last 57 years, Zambians have been each other’s keeper and this should never change.

The five-minute long song praises the spirit of resilience, harmony and peace that is characteristic of the Zambian people. It is a powerful song with a deep message bringing on board all top rated artists void of their political inclination or social standing.

This coming from KMP is a gesture of making amends with Zambians who felt the label let them down for supporting PF party in the run up to August 2021 presidential polls.

Most KMP artists including Slap Dee, Mampi, Yo Maps, Nez Long, Macky 2 among others did campaign songs for PF party. When the August polls came, HNPD won the elections trouncing PF defending presidential candidate Edgar Lungu.

Since then, KMP has been vilified with its artists taking bullets for it all. A classic example is Slap Dee who took an unpopular move asking AFRIMMA officials to remove his name from the list of nominees.

Zambians couldn’t let him breathe and reminded him that he ‘betrayed’ them and for that, they would support Cassper Nyovest from South Africa. While he explained that it was just a business decision, that did not sit well with a section of his Zambian fans.
