Nigerian singer Wizkid has reached a new milestone in his music career after hitting a billion views on his YouTube channel.

The 31-year-old Afrobeats star who began recording music at the age of 13 surpassed a billion views mark at a time he is enjoying massive airplay and attracting international attention with his 2020-released studio album ‘Made In Lagos’.

A look at Wikzid’s YouTube channel with its first activity on September 20, 2014, indicates that he now has 1.0016 billion views. The channel which goes by the name Starboy TV has over 2.08 million subscribers.

Wizkid now becomes the second Nigerian singer to have a YouTube channel with over a billion views after Burna Boy who surpassed the mark recently.

Burna Boy and Wizkid are considered among the most popular Nigerian singers on the global scene, alongside Davido who is closing in on crossing the billion mark as well with over 975 million views.
