In a recent interview with Power FM, Wendy revealed that her entry into the scene as Ebony’s replacement wasn’t highly appreciated by many. ‘I had a lot of challenges coming into the industry because of the death of Ebony, they did not want to listen to me because they felt like their favourite is gone.
Much to her expectations of a cordial welcome by Ebony’s fans as her replacement, came crumbling as she was opposed. She said ‘I expected people who claimed to love Ebony to show the same love to me because, if you claim you love someone and the person is no more and someone is brought to replace her I think you should reciprocate the same love towards her replacement and that will show how much you loved her.’
