Self-acclaimed ‘African Bad Girl’ Tiwa Savage has finally released her highly anticipated ‘Water and Garri’ EP after teasing the project for several months.

The EP which was made available on several music streaming platforms on August 20, 2021, houses 5 tracks. It features American singer-songwriter Brandy, American rapper Nas, Ghanaian singer Amaarae, Rich King and Tay Iwar.

According to Apple Music, the EP “unifies Tiwa Savage’s global influences gleaned from spending primary years in Lagos, teenage years in London and attending university in the US into a collage of R&B, Afrobeats and pop.”

‘Water and Garri’ is a two-in-one project that Apple Music notes that “mashes together sounds and styles” from singing about love in ‘Somebody’s Son’ featuring Brandy to fusing ’90s house with African rhythms on ‘Tales by Moonlight’ featuring Amaarae.
