La’wino, Yo Maps’ Manager Involved in Heated Exchange over Role of Artists in Zambian Election

Black Billionaire Records Chief Executive La’wino has hit out at a section of Zambian artistes for working with ZANU PF, despite challenges Zambian have faced during the party’s reign.

In the recently concluded election, United Party for National Development (UPND) candidate Hakainde Hichilema was declared Zambia new President trouncing incumbent Edgar Lungu.

Reacting to the election outcome, the Billionaire Records CEO said the election result is a bitter lesson for people with influence to know that integrity must always prevail over and above money at all times.

“It should always be more important to stand with the people. Money shouldn't buy our dignity and integrity. That's why even institutions of gov’t have been compromised in the past years,” he stated.

He castigated KMP artists; Yo Maps, Slapdee and Mampi  for their campaign songs drumming support for Lungu who lost by over three million votes to Hichilema.

“You guys forgot that cause of a few coins and that's a shame...let's not even make jokes about that. There is definitely life after. Being famous and having hit songs....you have a Legacy to leave when all that is gone...

“You have no love for the Zambian people and that's facts......you don't deserve to be called Role models...hope in your next life, you learn to make a difference...Yo Maps Yo Mampi Music Queen Slapdee,” his post read.

In response, DJ-Kandeke told off La’wino claiming that he was acting out since he was left out of the deal.

“La’wino ikalenifye what can you tell your friends when you failed that small boy Fly J, you don have talen that’s the reason why they didn’t picked you (sic),” he replied.

Responding to DJ-Kandeke’s remark, La’wino said he is successful by every measure.

“DJ-Kandeke, away from music I have a very successful company by the way in case you did not know,” he posted.
