Nina Roz Reveals Main Factor Destroying Ugandan Music Scene

Ugandan artist Nina Roz has said ego is the major factor working against the already struggling Ugandan music industry.

According to Nina Roz, the Ugandan music scene lacks unity as some artists think so highly of themselves and disrespect others, therefore bringing down the industry.

"Ego is the number one factor that has destroyed the music industry. With ego, an artist places themselves so high to a point that they can't speak to the rest of the team.

"It has destroyed us to an extent that we have lost people so dear in our lives. Even a person who is capable of helping you in life decides to drop you because you don't see the value in them. If you pay so much attention to this, ego has bred disrespect, bad manners that you had hidden in you because you take yourself above everyone else," Nina Roz said.

Nina Roz advised upcoming artists to concentrate on doing music and be extremely humble to everyone, arguing they you never know who can help them get their major breakthroughs.

“Always be humble. Don't disrespect any person you meet during your journey. For example a cameraman who has worked with you can connect you to an events person who can call you for a show," she said.
